The Lodge at Antler Ridge, White House, TN

Wendy and Ron Bargatze first became guests of ours over 10 years ago and we became fast friends. Last year, about the time we sold the Baird House property, they decided to transform their beautiful , tastefully decorated log home into a bed and breakfast. Wendy & Ron have opened The Lodge at Antler Ridge in White  House, Tn which is about 18 miles north of Nashville. Deede & I spent 2 nights in the Watauga Room ( large & cozy ) this week…what a comfortable, relaxing lodge located in a wonderful quiet rural location. The Bargatze’s are terrific hosts and are “naturals” when it comes to genuine hospitality. Wendy was a school teacher for many years and Ron was a coach at Vanderbilt and Belmont…. they both have a wealth of local history and can keep you as busy or as relaxed as you want to be. Their lodge is only a few minutes drive from the interstate. We woke up each morning to the smell of coffee and breakfast being readied. Wendy served the most delicious quiche I have ever tasted, so good that I asked her to serve it again at our second breakfast. They also served fresh fruit, homemade bread and cinnamon rolls and had granola & yogurt available along with juice. There are porches to enjoy, a firepit adjacent to the surrounding woods, a large book selection and a sitting area upstairs where the guestrooms are located. They do have WI-FI with a strong signal. I highly recommend you staying here if you plan a trip to the Nashville, TN area. Their website is www.antlerridgetn.com and their phone number is (615) 334-1193.

Gorgeous property, feels “out of the way” but is just a few mins from I65 and a short drive to Nashville. Room is cozy, comfortable and well-appointed. Ron and Wendy are excellent hosts. Breakfast and cookies are amazing! We will definitely be staying here again in the future, likely for more than just one night.
