Well, today sure was strange! It started off like every other day: I brought Ron his paper from the bottom of the driveway; tried to play with a family of squirrels, but they kept running up trees; had a leisurely breakfast, followed by a nap in the sunshine.
At around 11 o’clock, I woke up feeling like a game of frisbee with Wendy. I went to find her and instead was surprised to see about 30 people walking through my house and hanging around the fire pit. To say it was confusing would be an understatement. Then it hit me! I couldn’t believe it — all these people were here to give me the most exciting toy I’ve ever seen: a big, blue ribbon just for me!
I took this picture of all my new friends (not a bad camera job for a dog, if I do say so myself). We were so thankful they came over to officially welcome us to the neighborhood! Turns out The Chamber of Commerce is pretty great. There was even an article about us in the paper: http://www.tennessean.com/story/news/local/robertson/2016/10/31/new-rustic-bed-and-breakfast-white-house/92891660/
We had a big spread of delicious food to celebrate the occasion. Of course, my pals weren’t shy about slipping a few snacks my way. Ron and Wendy told them not to spoil me and that it may ruin my appetite for dinner — they didn’t listen!
Time to go, I have to get ready for a busy day full of frisbee tomorrow. Can’t wait to see you soon up at The Ridge!
